FAQ’S

Frequently Asked Questions

  • What are the costs?

Costs/Fees are based upon a full year with the club. See “Fees” tab at top of home page for additional breakdown.

  • Where do we train and play games?

Manta’s home outdoor fields are located at the Darice Complex Strongsville. The Darice fields include 2 full size 11v11, 2 9v9 and 2 7v7 fields – along with additional training areas. Manta also has its own indoor soccer facility located in North Royalton – Manta Fieldhouse. With a home indoor facility just minutes from I71 and Rt. 82, Manta’s club home is very convenient for players from Cuyahoga, Summit, Medina and Lorain Counties. Game locations will depend upon the specific league for each team. Tournament locations will also vary from season to season and team to team.

  • What is the Junior Academy

The Manta Junior Academy is focused on kids ages 5-8, is designed to teach basic soccer skills using creative games that will be challenging but age appropriate and emphasizes FUN. All training sessions will aim to build self confidence in order to help develop a child’s motor, social and overall developmental skills. Ultimately the goal is to create a fun experience that will lay a foundation for success in sports, education and life.

  • How does the Junior Academy differ from playing rec or travel?

Our Junior Academy players are trained by professional and licensed coaches with many years of coaching experience. Our program is set up to focus on players that seek a more structured, competitive, skills based individual development environment – while not forgetting the main focus is on fun. Players in this age group that desire a higher level and game competition can get the opportunity to do so, but this group’s main focus will be training. The Manta Junior Academy also starts players on the pathway towards joining one of the older competitive level Manta teams as the child grows.

  • What comes with a uniform purchase?

For all competitive teams, the required uniform package includes a full black kit, a full pink kit, a full white kit, a practice top, practice shorts, socks and a warm up. Recommended but not required items include backpack and spirit wear. Junior Academy teams will only require a practice kit.

  • Do we play in tournaments?

Other than the Junior Academy teams – yes. Each team selects their own tournaments throughout the year based upon the team’s level of competitiveness and desire to travel. Each team will typically participate in 2-3 tournaments per season.
